At Toys“R”Us, Inc. we believe in providing our employees with benefits well beyond a paycheck. In addition to competitive pay, our employee benefits program offers one of the most competitive total compensation packages available in retail and includes medical, dental and vision insurance coverage, a 401(k) with a very generous company match and a wide-range of other benefits.
Insurance Coverage
The “R”Us family is committed to providing health and welfare benefits that are affordable for our employees and meet their individual needs, as well as those of their eligible dependents. Eligible employees have a number of health plans to choose from that include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription care coverage.
In addition, employees may participate in Flexible Spending Accounts for out-of-pocket healthcare or dependent care costs.
Finally, basic life and basic AD&D insurance coverage equal to 100 percent of target cash compensation and company-paid LTD coverage is available for eligible employees, as well as business travel insurance. Supplemental life, supplemental AD&D, Spouse and Child Life, and Long-Term Care insurance coverage is also available at an affordable cost.
Vacation, Sick Time and Personal Days
The “R”Us family believes one of the keys to maintaining a productive employee base is by offering a competitive paid time off program that is based on length of service and hours worked. The corporate headquarters also observes six holidays and closes early on select days preceding a major holiday. Because of the nature of our business, some departments may be required to provide coverage during holidays. In these cases, time off is typically given in lieu of the holiday.
Saving For Your Future
Employees may participate in the company’s 401(k) plan provided they meet certain eligibility requirements. The company provides a very generous match contribution of $1 for $1 on up to 4 percent of earnings for employees enrolled in our 401(k) program with immediate vesting available.
A 529 College Savings Plan is also available to help families save for future college costs with ease and convenience.
Matching Gifts Program
Toys“R”Us, Inc. supports organizations that keep children safe and help them in times of need. While children are at the heart of our business, we realize that our employees also support causes and organizations on a broader level. To that end, the company will match contributions made by employees with one year of service to non-profit organizations that meet certain criteria.
Employee Assistance Programs
Each day, our employees work hard to meet the needs of the families we serve. And, we strive to ensure that our employees and their families have access to the appropriate resources when they need them the most. The “R”Us family offers employees and their families professional and confidential counseling and referral services for work and other issues, legal matters, financial issues, addiction and recovery problems, reliable resources for seniors and childcare, and any stress-related issues that require assistance.
We also provide financial support to assist employees adopting a child.
