TOYS"R"US, INC. AND THE TOYS"R"US CHILDREN'S FUND

The core mission of Toys"R"Us, Inc. and the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund is to keep children safe and help them in times of need. Since it was founded in 1992, the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund has contributed millions of dollars to organizations that support that mission, including those providing disaster relief to children and families who are victims of large-scale crises. The Toys"R"Us Children's Fund also provides grants to leading organizations that assist children with special needs.

Signature Partnerships

Safe Kids Worldwide

In 2008, Toys"R"Us, Inc. launched a national safety awareness partnership with Safe Kids Worldwide, the first organization dedicated solely to preventing unintentional childhood injury and the only one to have a global reach, with partners in 16 countries. More children ages 1 to 14 die from accidents than any other cause, and almost all of these injuries are preventable. As a company devoted to all kids, Toys"R"Us Inc., shares in the mission of Safe Kids Worldwide to protect children and keep them safe from harm. The two organizations work together throughout the year to provide actionable safety tips to parents and caregivers on a variety of subjects, such as summer, holiday and travel safety.

Autism Speaks

In 2009, Toys"R"Us, Inc. and the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund increased their support of Autism Speaks, an organization dedicated to funding global biomedical research for autism and raising public awareness about the disorder and its effects on individuals, families and society. This year, the company's more than 260 Babies"R"Us locations nationwide joined Toys"R"Us stores in a nine-week in-store fundraising campaign to coincide with Autism Awareness Month in April. In 2008, Toys"R"Us stores raised $1.5 million to support crucial autism research and advocacy. Also, for the third consecutive year, Toys"R"Us, Inc. employees nationwide will participate in the Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism program, a series of more than 75 fundraising walk events held in communities across the country. To kick off the 2009 partnership, including national sponsorship of the walk program, the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund awarded Autism Speaks a $400,000 grant. Since the partnership began in 2007, the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund, Toys"R"Us, Inc. and customer donations have combined to provide Autism Speaks with more than $3.7 million.

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation

As the largest retail partner in the more than 60-year history of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Toys"R"Us, Inc. has raised over $16.2 million and collected 1.4 million toys throughout the five-year partnership with the organization. Each year during the holiday season, cash and toy donations are collected in all Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us stores nationwide, and monetary donations are also accepted online at www.Toysrus.com. All toys collected remain in the community where they are donated to benefit local children. In addition to these efforts, the Toys"R"Us Children's Fund has awarded Toys for Tots more than $500,000 in grants.
